do not be a whore, asher lev.
And record it. Maybe you can (eventually) get them to sexually harass you. You're a minor. Hire a lawyer. Sue them. Get rich. Bomb Jasper. Pay for Susan's art."
"Do it, Frank. She has an affinity for Picassoid forms. Make sure your lawyer doesn't put his payos behind his ear."
"DO IT FRANK DO IT
Susan, don't be a whore"
I hate Asher Lev i mean i appreciate the unique and ascetic tone chaim potok uses in his novel - as being the farthest thing from a jewish boy, I can digest and understand his masterfully rendered struggle of an adolescent caught between adherence to creativity and his conscription to god, the religious exploration of humanity, the unabashed defamation and salvation of art and its repercussions and traffic-stopping effects on the modern, global world of communication networks and technological innovations with people who are sheltered, complacent, and have assimilated it all, what is held sacred and what not, the universal expression of pain, suffering, and love found in all religions and how it trickles down to anyone, and how art is destruction how religion is destruction how art is religion and how religion can be art and how they are not exclusive but so readily contradictory.
right. i am not antisemitic.
